Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL Exam) every year for recruiting of Grade "B" and "C" categories posts.

Online registration of candidates has been started from 29 Dec 2020 and last date of submit an online application is 31 Jan 2021 (11:30 pm).

Qualification Required

  • Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:
    • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute
    • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost and Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters I Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
  • Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level. OR Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
  • All other Posts: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2020.

SSC CGL 2020 Application Fee

Candidates need to pay an application fee of 100 Rupees thru SBI Challan/Net-Banking and Debit/Credit Card. Females, SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen candidates no need to pay any application fee.

Nationality

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came in India, before the 1-January-1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Pay Scale and Age Limit in SSC CGL 2020

Mainly SSC CGL are divided into Grade B and Grade C posts. SSC CGL have various kinds of posts, so the age of the candidates must be lies between 18 years to 32 years depending on the post. Kindly have a look on these posts with their Group, Gross salary and age required.

Instructions for Apply in SSC CGL 2020

Candidates can apply for the SSC CGL 2020 (Tier-I Exam) through online mode only. Procedure of filling the application form through online mode given here below:-
  • Firstly visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission https://ssc.nic.in/, and visit on Login section by filling Username and Password
  • Click on Apply part of CGL(Combined Graduate Level-2020) section.
  • Candidates must have to read the important instructions carefully before filling the SSC CGL 2020 application form under "Instructions to Candidates".
  • Then candidates have to fill basic required details in "Registration Part" i.e. Name, Father Name, Address, DOB, Education etc.
  • And finally upload scanned photograph and signature in proper size and dimensions as described in" Instructions to Candidates". Then candidates need to pay an application fee.

Selection Procedure: SSC CGL 2020 Recruitment

Selection process of SSC CGL Exam includes 4 Tiers as indicated below:-

Tier-I
  • This is first stage of selection. All those, who have been applied for SSC CGL Exam 2020, will have to appear in the Tier-I Exam.
  • This Exam will be objective type and conducted online (Computer Based Exam).
  • There will be 4 sections in this exam and total 100 questions for 200 marks will be there as below:-
    • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 Questions (Max 50 Marks)
    • General Awareness: 25 Questions (Max 50 Marks)
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions (Max 50 Marks)
    • English Comprehension: 25 Questions (Max 50 Marks)
  • Exam duration will be 1 Hour (Total 60 Min). For VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy: 80 Minutes
  • For each wrong answer 0.50 marks will be deducted.

Tier-II
  • After qualifying the Tier-I Exam candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II Exam.
  • This Exam also will be objective type and conducted online (Computer Based Exam).
  • Tier-II exam will be 4 papers, (Paper-1) Quantitative ability, (Paper-2) English language and comprehension, (Paper-3) Statistics (Paper-4) General studies.
  • Paper-1 and 2 are mandatory for all posts and Paper-3 will only for the post of "Statistical Investigator Gr. II" and "Compiler" and Paper-4 will only for the post of "Assistant Audit Officer".
  • Each paper will carries 200 marks as below:-
    • Paper-1 Quantitative ability: 100 Questions (200 Marks)
    • Paper-2 English language and comprehension: 100 Questions (200 Marks)
    • Paper-3 Statistics: 100 Questions (200 Marks)
    • Paper-4 General Studies (Finance and Economics) Paper-I and II as above: 100 Questions (200 Marks)
  • Exam duration will be 2 Hours for each paper and For VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy: 160 Minutes.
  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, negative marking of 0.50 marks in Paper-1, Paper-3, and Paper-4 and in Paper-2 it will be 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer.
  • Paper-1 and 2 are compulsory for all the categories of posts. Paper-3 is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)/ Paper-4 is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO)/ Assistant Accounts Officer(AAO).

Tier-III
  • All those candidates who will qualify Tier-II Exam, will be shortlisted for Tier-III Exam.
  • This Exam will be descriptive type that is Pen and Paper mode (English / Hindi) and conducted offline.
  • Candidates need to write Essays/ Precise/ Letter/ Applications writing etc.
  • Exam will carry maximum 100 marks.
  • Candidates will have to score a minimum of 33% marks to qualify the Tier-III Exam.
  • Exam duration will 60 minutes and For VH and candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy: 80 Minutes.

Tier-IV
  • In Tier-IV Data Entry Speed Test will be Conducted

Download Admit Cards of SSC CGL 2020 Exam

Candidates can download their admit cards of SSC CGL 2020 Tier-I Exam through the official website of SSC at least 15 Days from the exam dates, if SSC will not send admit card by mail post thus candidates need to download their SSC CGL admit cards for Tier-I Exam through its official website online at https://ssc.nic.in/. Candidates are advised without admit cards they could not be enter in the examination hall.
